Ok, slow down, and read this FAQ as it is updated as of the date above. Now…..
On average, we are shipping approximately 100 orders a week. We keep raising production and break records, but we still have to push harder.
CLICK THE BUTTON BELOW to get a algorithm based estimate from our production software of either your order delivery date or a general estimate on any new orders. Note – this calculation is dynamic and is based on the last 45 days of production historical averages.
New orders will be added weekly, so check back on Tuesdays for the prior week.

Either you have not responded to our request for an address verification for shipping OR we have some other issue to be resolved, such as:
- WE have not gotten to your email reply YET, as we are SWAMPED! Sorry!!!
- OR We haven’t sent you the automated address confirmation email yet (that is when you see a bunch of HOLDs together) They go out roughly 2 weeks before your rack goes into production. – check your spam
- OR you haven’t responded with confirmation of your address or corrected it.
When we have received your response to the confirmation email and resolved all issues, we will change out HOLD to CONFIRMED. ONLY THEN, will it move on to the next step, IN-PROCESS.
If we are building your rack, it will say IN-PROCESS
Please look for our emails and respond promptly so we don’t skip you in the queue. We are getting 100’s of emails a day and the more proactive you can be with us, the better for us all 🙂

Currently, to purchase more aluminum for production, we are charging credit cards the day you place the order.
Much like a Kickstarter, we use these funds to increase our output via inventory purchases and capital investments. Unlike Kickstarter, we allow 100% refunds.
We are using this capital to lock in aluminum pricing. And, as a startup, instead of paying interest on loans (for which we don’t qualify for…yet) and raising prices even more. Everything we buy is financed in some way and we are no exception.
We always suggest using a credit card vs a debit card to protect yourself. Let’s be honest here…you never know what could happen. Heard of Sears, Kmart, Texaco?

Keep in mind, if at any time you want a 100% refund, do not hesitate to ask for one. We understand your support of this startup and the current issues with the supply chain with all industries.
If you would like to add items to your existing order(s), place a new order and please use the same email address as your first order. Reply back to us from your email order receipts so we can match to the earlier orders, and key your rack the same.

Free shipping is NOT included in any shipments, as shipping and fuel charges are extremely volatile right now.
We only ship to USA (Lower 48 states), APOs, Alaska, Hawaii and Canada – priced at current rates.
Shipping cost is available at checkout.
Additionally, we decided we should be more “equitable” in our pricing methodology to charge accordingly to each customer vs. charging the people close to us more to make up for the people farther away.

Specs and Fitment Questions
Buying a new bike rack is like welcoming a new family member. Let’s make sure the Mach2 “fits” into your family!
Mach2 2″ & 1.25″ – 30.7 lbs (Shipping is 36.2 lbs and box outside dimensions are 31″x19″x9″ – inside dimensions are 29.5″x18″x8″)
- Add-on – 22.7 lbs (Shipping is 27.9 lbs and outside dimensions are 31″x19″x9″ – inside dimensions are 29.5″x18″x8″)
- Ramp – 13lbs – Shipping is 14 lbs and box outside dimensions 60”x8”x8”
- Maximum tire width – 4.77 inches (5.05 tire is the maximum we have seen and it works – see this FAQ – Maximum Tire width
NOTE: We do NOT give opinions of fitment, as there are variables of changes in model spec, OEM & aftermarket hitches and adapters, and way too many cars to keep up a database. We give YOU the tools you should need to measure and make a determination yourself. If you can’t find the answer you need, contact us!
In the tilted down mode (see the image/specs below),
- The first Add-On is 1 7/16″ below the hitch,
- The second Add-On is 5 15/32″ below that for for a total of 6 15/16″ below the hitch.
- The third and fourth Add-On are each an additional 5 15/32″ below the Add-on above it.
These are conservative numbers made to protect your investment in your bikes. Please check your tongue weight capacity for your vehicle/hitch as OEM will not be the same as an aftermarket hitch.
These numbers do NOT take into consideration hitch adapters or extenders that could put more leverage, and therefore stress, on the hitch/crossbar that would lower these capacities even more.

2 bikes – 240 lbs

The rack can accommodate tires as wide as 5” with no adapters needed. The distance is 4.77″ between the arms, but dare we say, tires are not really accurate in their dimensions? 🙂
The Mach2 fits the Vee Snow Shoe 2XL, which is 5.05″ wide. (stated by the manufacturer)
There are two types of fenders: Plastic and Steel.
Our suggestions are:
- For plastic, the spool will push down the fender to the tire for a snug fit.
- For steel, you could take foam pads, and cut it to wrap around the spool so that the fender will not get scratched.
We will be releasing an addition solution, and are determining the best material for the job.
My 2″ hitch has 4.625″ insertion maximum and little room. I don’t think the spring auto-pin thing would fit. Can I just remove it and use a regular locking pin?
We use a spacer to add to the 1.25″ male piece that pops on and off. (included with Mach2 1.25″ purchase)

Adapter on for use in a 2″ hitch receiver. You then insert the male w/adapter into the 2″ hitch receiver and tighten it down.

Yes! We also suggest a hitch anti-rattle stabilizer for a tight fit.
We also have our 1.25″ to 2″ convertible Mach2 hitch model to natively fit a 1.25″ hitch receiver.

We offer a fixed 2″ hitch model and a 1.25″ to 2″ convertible model with the adapter included. However, if you are looking to convert to a 2″+ hitch, look for a hitch adapter that removes wobble from the vehicle/adapter connection, and use the shortest adapter available. The smaller the distance between the bumper and rack, the more stable.
Have you tested the rack on the back of a ProMaster Van? Does it tilt enough to allow the doors to open?
Yes! It clears by about an inch without a hitch extender. But it was only on one 2019 model, so you must check it yourself.

The new hitch design uses two aluminum pads instead of one steel ball. The pads are stronger, smoother and more stable, as the old steel ball version could deform the hitch over time. Watch it in action:
Note: that the Captive Spring Pin can be removed with one screw for vehicles that don’t have clearance for it.

Since everyone has a different model and spare tire size, we recommend an 2″ to 2″ extension to push the rack further rearward.
We do NOT recommend buying the 1.25″ Mach2 as it will put more strain on it.
There are many third-party products you can search for to solve this problem as we don’t have our own…yet.
It is worth noting our Warranty does not qualify for racks used on 3rd party products (extenders, pivots, etc), as we have no control over their integrity.
We recently met a Doctor in our town who had an Elliptigo 11R bike and it fits fine on our rack with no modification.
If you wanted to carry two Elliptigo bikes, you would need to have one Add-on in between them because of the width of the base being larger than our width.
We may look into creating a customization to carry two Elliptigo bikes next to each other, but that will be some time off as we crank out higher demand items. 🙂
This is the one-key system that locks the Mach2 into the hitch and the Add-ons together.
You can see the red safety latch that connects the Add-ons together and the blue push-button barrel lock that protects it from being removed.
The same lock and key are used to lock the rack into the hitch.
You will receive 2 keys with the Mach2 hitch rack. If you purchase more Add-ons later down the road, we can look up what variation of lock you already have and match it to your existing keys. Additional keys can also be purchased.

Here is our new Wheel Lock accessory. We are still sourcing cables to weave between the locks and the bike(s), just like any other cable lock system. These are generally available at your local bike shop.
We suggest one lock per wheel, i.e. two locks per bike for quick security.
If you choose to ALWAYS use a cable, you could get by with one lock.
We are currently selling this to fulfilled customers only, in the order of the production queue, and then will open it up to the general public.
Keyed the same as your rack for convenience.
We will look you up in our database (as long as you use the same email as your original order/account) and match the key(s) to your Mach2 and accessories. Plus when you order, you can add a NOTE with you key numbers as a double check.

With the inventor of the original Quik Rack in our corner, you can expect his latest model, the Mach2, to be the industry standard. It’s lightweight, modular, and can handle 300 lbs. Cal’s racks have stood the test of time and we know some of you are willing to invest in the best for your carbon fiber steeds and versatile eBikes.
We are only shipping to the USA, US Military, and Canada at this time.
We currently ONLY offer international shipments to Canada. We hope to expand into other destinations as we catch up on backorders. It is worth noting that you will pay a shipping fee with us, and any duties or taxes associated with the shipment charged by the CBSA are your responsibility to pay.
The rack is mainly anodized aluminum with stainless steel fasteners (screws, bolts and nuts) some brass bushings, and a few Delrin parts.
The fasteners are torqued at the factory and because of the chemical properties of steel mated to aluminum, need no thread-lock solution.
It is a good idea to occasionally check the fasteners and other parts to make sure they are secure and tight. Any mechanical connection can vibrate and loosen, so make sure this doesn’t happen to you. This is normal wear and tear.
Usage and Troubleshooting
Keep your rack clean and in good working order by simply using water and soap, nothing more. All metals corrode no matter what treatment they have, so the more you keep them clean, the better they will operate and last.
Road salts are very corrosive, so you must be proactive with your rack to keep it in good condition.
NOTE: Do NOT use any lubricant as it will collect dirt and prevent the necessary friction to keep the rack arm(s) locked in place
As far as the trigger bar10 goes, and the rack tilting down, it is made to be very tight. So yes, the spring helps, but it does not set the release bar (11) in place. You must wiggle the rack up and down and push the trigger in to completely seat the release bar (11)

1- When moving rack between positions, ensure the release bar11 is seated so that the trigger bar10 is flush with two cross bars12 /13 for vertical position and for standard carry position (Figure 14).
2- You MUST wiggle the rack up and down, and push the trigger bar10 in to fully seat the release bar11.
Loosen and retighten the tire spools so that they are aligned/evenly positioned on each arm.
Uneven spacing can make the arms appear to “bend” and looked crooked.
Also, you might have to turn the carriage bolt a 1/4 turn either way to make sure the gold lever is tight and against the bar as shown in the picture.
The Mach2 is approved for general Off Road use.
This being said, proper caution is always required. We call this common sense coverage.
Drive slowly and carefully in all off-road situations. If you are driving too fast and hit a big bump that causes damage to your rack or vehicle, that is not covered under warranty. If you are using the rack on demanding 4×4 terrain and drop off a ledge and bash the rack, this is not covered by warranty.
