Rattling locks

Hey Nigel, The solution that I found works the best for the rattling locks is to put a thin O ring on the wheel lock shaft. After inserting the shaft, just lock in the normal fashion. O ring takes up the extra room. No more rattle

Pefect fit, but rattles.

It's aluminum on aluminum, so when driving there is a rattle coming from the rack. Without the locks, it's dead silent. The tolerances are pretty tight to avoid anyone tampering, It's just enough wiggle room to be constantly vibrating and I find it loud. I definitely know when I have the locks installed. I don't want to put the locks on when I leave my car and then take them off when I'm driving. I think it could use some sort of gasket or rubber pad to absorb some of the vibrations which would go a long way to reduce or eliminate the noise.

It’s a Voile strap, without the metal buckle

Which I’d realized what it was before spending $30 on 2 of them. It’s a rebranded Voile strap that is commonly available to the public. But it doesn’t have the metal buckle that Quikrstuff shows in the picture. It’s a nylon buckle and they’re marked up 50% over the retail cost. It should come with the bike rack as a feature.

I’ve read and reviewed the Judge.me’s terms, privacy and content policies and this review meets the requirements as agreed to.

Hello Mr. Hoot! Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We chose this strap to put our brand on because it is made in the USA, something we value. Yes, people can get them other places, but most customers are so happy that we sell them and that they can just get everything they need all in one place. The strap does NOT have a metal buckle and a metal buckle is not shown in the product description nor anywhere else on our website. Please, if the picture with a metal buckle (that you mention) is actually on our website, let us know; we will need to remove it. As far as 'it should come with the bike rack' - absolutely not. The rack will hold almost all bikes with no straps necessary. That's why it's called the Quik Rack! The only reason to buy a strap is if you're going to haul heavy ebikes with fenders, as explained in our fender FAQ - https://quikrstuff.com/faqs/?Display_FAQ=3484 - or if you'd like to use this awesome strap for some other reason (like holding your skis together).

Better than I'd hoped

Super convenient and just enough security when I want to leave the bike on the rack as I run into a coffee shop. I use it all the time. I'm gonna buy a couple more.

Great lock!

I am very glad I purchased this to go with my rack. The lock is so simple to use, and very easy to store when it’s not needed. It fits perfectly on the rack and is clearly very durable and secure. I typically will use this along with a cable lock to secure both sides of my bike, and I’m very happy with the lock and how it is keyed the same as my rack.
