Not sure how to reply to the Quikrstuff response to my initial review. Quikrstuff responded to my request with the following response.
“The strap does NOT have a metal buckle and a metal buckle is not shown in the product description nor anywhere else on our website. Please, if the picture with a metal buckle (that you mention) is actually on our website, let us know; we will need to remove it. “
You actually do have a picture of the Voile strap with a metal buckle on your website. It’s the second picture you have in the gallery for the product. As mentioned in my review my frustration was simply due to the fact that it feels slightly higher priced than it should be. I get that that not everyone needs the strap. I do because of fenders on our e-bikes. I simply felt like for the $1500 I’m spending on the rack, and it’s a relatively small component that many people would use, that it was a little crazy to pay more than I could get it for anywhere else. Fine if it’s not free, but regular retail price would be good for the end user. That and you show the higher priced strap with metal buckle in one of the pictures. I do see that you also show one other picture with the vinyl buckle. Maybe take down the one that is incorrectly shown.
