Should I lubricate the locks?

UPDATED APRIL 2025
Do not use an oil-based lube on a sticky lock because it will attract dirt and debris and gunk it up. In fact, don’t use an oil-based lube anywhere on your rack!
We recommend periodic use of lock dry lube on the lock cylinders. See this video for a demo on how to spray our locks.
Lock dry lube can be found at any local hardware store. The use of this product leaves a clear, dry, long-lasting, corrosion-protecting film that won’t attract dirt. This will protect your lock from weathering and ensure smooth use over time.
