UPDATED JANUARY 2025
Do not use an oil-based lube because it will attract dirt and debris and gunk up the lock. Lubricants can also reduce the friction that is necessary for the tire arms to stay put.
We recommend periodic use of lock dry lube on the lock cylinders.
Lock dry lube can be found at any local hardware store. The use of this product leaves a clear, dry, long-lasting, corrosion-protecting film that won’t attract dirt. This will protect your lock from weathering and ensure smooth use over time.
