Here are a few tips about the keys used with QuikrStuff products. Some might seem obvious, but the intent is to cover all of the questions we tend to get.
🔑 You will get two keys with the main rack; every other locking product (add-on, ramp, wheel locks) will come with one additional key. Accessories are keyed the same as your main rack so that you only have to worry about one key.
🔑 We have many different key numbers. You don’t have to worry about other Quik Rack Mach2 owners near you having the same key.
🔑 You can request a certain key number when you place your order (for example, if you want the same key number as other family members or friends).
🔑 Use the key at the blue handle at the hitch to unlock the rack so you can remove it from your vehicle. The key has a small notch on it and must be inserted where the small notch fits. Turn the key all the way around once and then pull it out. This should make the silver button pop out, indicating that the lock is now unlocked.
🔑 Do not attach an add-on or a ramp if the silver button in the blue lock is depressed (locked). This may result in the lock pin being sheared off. If this happens, we can send you a lock repair kit but it won’t be covered under warranty. If the button is depressed and you need to unlock it before attaching the add-on or ramp, use your key to do so.
