UPDATED MARCH 2025
The Mach2 bike rack can be used on the back of RVs, 5th Wheels, Class C RVs, and travel trailers. However, you can only do this with the 2″ hitch version of the rack (not the 1.25″) and it needs to be inserted into a chassis-mounted hitch receiver (not a bumper mount).
PLEASE contact us and we will help you determine if your particular recreational vehicle will support your particular bikes using our rack. We will need to know the following:
- The weight of the bikes you wish to carry (two maximum)
- If you hope to also carry our ramp accessory behind your recreational vehicle
- The VRA-to-HPC (measure in inches from the center of the rear axle on your recreational vehicle to the center of the hitch pin hole on your receiver). Anything over 96 inches will be an automatic no from us based on our testing and the math our calculator uses.
Know that our calculations and recommendations are very conservative and err on the side of keeping bikes and travelers safe. While we understand that there may be exceptions, we are not in a position to make those decisions. We encourage you to explore other avenues where you may find the answers you might be seeking.
Also, be very careful with extenders, adapters, swing away arms, or bike covers. Doing so can result in the slow degradation of the rack or a sudden catastrophic failure. Using any of these will void the warranty.
