Description
This product will reduce the size of a 2.5″ hitch receiver down to a 2″ hitch receiver so that the Mach2 2″ bike rack will work with the larger 2.5″ receiver.
We manufacture this reducer / adapter for our Mach2 2″ rack. It is made of steel and zinc-plated to prevent rust. Using QuikrStuff’s adapter–as opposed to a third-party adapter–is the only way to retain the Mach2’s ability to snug tightly in the receiver and provide the famous QuikrStuff no-wobble-at-the-hitch. It also allows you to keep using your Captive Safety Pin.
Using a third-party adapter with our style of hitch almost always results in play and rattle. Additionally, the use of third-party products voids the warranty on the QuikrStuff Mach2 bike rack.
It is also possible to use two of these to reduce a 3″ receiver to accept a 2″ rack.
