If you haven’t heard of the Hotdogger, you’re missing out! It’s the premier (and most fun) hotdog-eating contest, endurance mountain bike race, and charity fundraiser—all happening right in QuikrStuff’s backyard at the world-class 18 Road Mountain Bike Trails.
And this event is no small affair. So far, the Hotdogger has brought together:
-
🌭 10,735 hotdogs consumed
-
🚴 962 participants
-
🏁 200 teams
-
❤️ $59,560 raised for charity
So, who’s the lucky recipient of all those fundraising dollars? None other than our local trail-building and maintenance organization, COPMOBA (Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Association).
Rumor has it that the folks who started the Hotdogger were so impressed with the trails at 18 Road that they dreamed up an event as a way to give back to the organization that builds and maintains them. We think that’s a pretty great reason to eat some hotdogs and ride some bikes!
If you ride mountain bikes (yes, even eMTBs—they’re welcome on these trails but can’t be used during the race), put the Hotdogger on your list for next September. Come ride, race, eat some hotdogs, and enjoy Western Colorado. And while you’re here, stop by QuikrStuff for a rack demo and a behind-the-scenes factory tour. We’d love to see you!
