Chris H. Shows Appreciation of QuikrStuff Product and Service

March 18, 2025

Alright QuikrStuff fans, there’s a new standard in town! If you love our product and/or our service, you might have to send us a little something-something! Be like Chris!

When a surprise gift arrived at QuikrStuff Headquarters (and totally made our day), we couldn’t resist reaching out to Chris to say thanks and ask him a few questions.

Bag of Martin's Kettle-Cook'd Hand Cooked Potato Chips

This bag of Martin’s Potato Chips from Pennsylvania didn’t last long at QuikrStuff Headquarters.

Q: How did you first hear of QuikrStuff and how long have you had your Quik Rack Mach2?

When I first found out about the QuikrStuff Mach2 Rack from a friend, and then learned that it was designed, engineered, and being manufactured by the original Quik Rack inventor, I was very interested in learning more. I needed a rack that would be compatible with all my bikes without the need for additional road or fat bike adapters. Knowing that QuikrStuff was a startup company and the rack was being pre-ordered, I knew that it might be quite a long wait until I received the actual product. But I’ve been a long-time supporter of smaller companies who challenge the industry with new and innovative products. So I jumped in, along with two other friends and joined the waitlist.

Almost a full year passed from the time I pre-ordered (this was back in August 2020) until I received my rack. During that time, it was interesting to see how QuikrStuff kept me informed through email and social media updates. Not just written messages, but personal videos by the president of the company talking about the challenges and progress being made. I may have been a bit impatient at times, but never doubted that QuikrStuff would deliver.

Q: What bikes are you carrying and where are you headed?

Living in South Central Pennsylvania, I do a lot of riding from my home. Ride to the ride, then do the ride. But sometimes to hit better trails or bigger mountains, I need to take a road trip. I love how easy and quick I can install and remove my base rack and add-on trays. I don’t normally keep my rack on my vehicle so this is a huge advantage compared to other rack systems I’ve used from Thule, Yakima, and Saris. The precision, quality of build, and design of the Mach2 has made it the best rack I’ve ever used and probably the last one I will own. I’m a road cyclist, gravel cyclist and a mountain biker, and also a fat bike enthusiast in winter. The Mach 2 fits all of my bikes without any adjustments. And when adding additional bikes, it’s as easy as adjusting the lateral position on the trays so the seats and handlebars of each bike have zero contact.

BONUS TRICK: I own a base rack and one additional tray. When my buddies and I go on trips together, we can simply add two of their add-ons to carry up to 4 bikes! Try that with the other brands.

Q: You sent the QuikrStuff employees a fun surprise. Can you explain what it was and what prompted it?

When I had a warranty-related issue, the QuikrStuff team proactively reached out to me. They made the process of correcting the issue so easy. I have never experienced that kind of customer service with any other company. So naturally, when I returned my original rack, I wanted to show my appreciation. What better way to do that than by sending a bag of the best chips from my hometown, York, PA, home of Martin’s Potato Chips. I’m pretty sure that bag only lasted a few minutes once it was opened at the QuikrStuff headquarters. 🙂

Thank you, Chris, for the Martin’s Potato Chips, but mainly for your kind words and for supporting QuikrStuff from the very beginning!

P.S. We don’t really expect you to be like Chris and send us a gift. 🙂
But you could be like Chris and get yourself a bike rack at QuikrStuff.com.
