How great is it that QuikrStuff–maker of the amazing Quik Rack Mach2 bike rack–gets to call Grand Junction, Colorado home? Here, (and within a 100-mile radius) we have access to world class mountain biking trails, road rides and gravel rides surrounded by amazing scenery, a bike path running through town and alongside the Colorado River, and numerous cycling events throughout the year. Whether we ride from our door or we load the bikes up for a further destination, we sure are lucky!
Within 20 miles of our facilities in beautiful Grand Junction, Colorado, we have access to three major world class trail systems. The Tabeguache Trail system (lovingly known as the Lunch Loops by locals) has over 35 miles of trails. Within a short drive down the Grand Valley, we have access to two other world-class trail systems. North Fruita Desert (known by the locals as 18 Road) has over 75 miles of trails and is located in the Bookcliffs north of the town of Fruita. Kokopelli Loops is another trail system with a plethora of rocky trails high above the Colorado River including access to the one and only Kokopelli Trail which runs from Fruita, CO to Moab, UT.
While there are world-class mountain bike trails all around Grand Junction, that doesn’t mean we don’t know a good road ride when we see one! The road through Colorado National Monument makes for a great ride along canyon rims with beautiful views of red rock formations. Less challenging but equally wonderful is riding the Riverfront Trail along the Colorado River or the bucolic farm roads north of town.
Stay tuned for updates as we post more about of our favorite rides!
